Accessibility Statement

A Word from the Director

Dearborn Heights Library is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We've recently rebuilt our website from scratch (August 2024), using as many best practices and supportive technologies as possible. We aim to adhere closely to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We strongly believe conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone.

If you have any comments and or suggestions relating to improving the accessibility of our site, please do not hesitate to contact our Technology Specialist, Sean Gibson (srgibson@dearbornheightsmi.gov). You can also use our feedback form. Your feedback will help us make improvements. We know this endeavor is important, and we sincerely strive to make a meaningful impact for our readers by holding ourselves responsible to prevailing standards and best practices.
