Free Citizenship Classes

Free Citizenship classes will be held at Caroline Kennedy Library courtesy of the International Institute of Metro Detroit (IIMD).

  • IN-PERSON CLASSES run once a week for 10 weeks.​

  • Classes start on April 15, 2025, and run until June 17, 2025.

  • Late admission to join the class ends on May 1st, 2025.

  • Your IIMD Instructor will be Lindsay Van Loon.

This Citizenship Class will meet every Tuesday at 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Caroline Kennedy Library (click for hours and location) in the Adult Program Room. (The first conference room on the left when you first enter the library.)

Requirements: Participants must be a Michigan Resident and must present an image of a Driver's License or official ID. Additionally, an image of USCIS Permanent Resident (Green Card) will be required.
