Thompson Maxwell Collection

Thompson Maxwell was chosen the honorary moderator for the first meeting in the newly formed Bucklin Township. Thompson by this time had lived a full life, having worked as a farmer, teamer and shoemaker, marrying three times and fathering five children.

 

Thompson Maxwell was a Veteran of the Seven Years War, The Revolution, and The War of 1812 and participated in the ratification of the Massachusetts constitution and the Boston Tea Party. His believed resting place is the Wallaceville Cemetery.
